How we got here

The short version: our mutual friend Sasha quote-tweeted something so unserious that we both replied, and neither of us has really stopped talking since. Here are a few of the moments that got us to September.

Spring 2021

The tweet

Sasha posted a truly unhinged hot take at 1 a.m. Ousainou clapped back in the replies, Inemesit piled on, and the two of us ended up arguing with each other in someone else's mentions for an hour. Sasha still takes full credit.

Summer 2021

We met

Sasha, tired of us tagging each other in memes, finally introduced us in person "to see what all the fuss was about." The fuss continued in person.

Summer 2023

Moved in together

Adopted a plant we were both certain the other would kill. It's still alive — mostly thanks to Sasha, who waters it when we forget.

Winter 2026

The proposal

On a hike neither of us admitted was harder than expected — with a much better view at the top.

Please respond by September 1, 2026. One response per household is fine — just note your total party size below.

  • We love your little ones, but we've decided to keep the wedding an adults-only celebration. We hope this gives you a night off to relax and celebrate with us.

  • Early September in the Hudson Valley is warm and mild — expect 65–80°F. Both ceremony and reception are outdoors, so bring a light layer for after sunset.


  • Yes, free on-site parking is available. We'll also arrange a shuttle from both room-block hotels.
